Chess Cheating Accusations

I can't remember the last time I was accused of cheating at chess - if ever.

But today, while playing a 5 2 blitz game on chess.com, my opponent sent three chats in the game, but I didn't see them until after he resigned.  All three chats claimed I cheated - including one "cheater boy"

I guess I should be flattered by the accusations?

In reviewing the game, it's apparent (s)he just blunders - plain and simple.

Not so much a blunder (even though obviously a blunder) as he was no longer able to keep up with you at finessing the position. ...Nc4 instead of ...Qd7?? looks interesting, but he also has queen and king moves there. I like ...Nc4 there, but this was a fascinating positional game and he didn't prepare and finesse quite as much as he should have, and it was a finesse game. It's too much for blitz really. Yes, it's a compliment he was making, essentially.

  2. Another reason I don't play blitz with strangers. Or anybody I suppose. But yes, it's a compliment.

  3. It's pretty common on chess.com to be accused of cheating with no basis. I didn't beat you because I cheated, I beat you because you dropped pieces, simple as that. It's just sore loser trolling.
